Colin Firth Cuts Ties with Woody Allen
Oscar winner, Colin Firth, is the latest Hollywood figure to speak out against writer-director, Woody Allen.
Firth, who appeared in Allen’s 2014 film “Magic in the Moonlight”, has said that he will not work with Allen again.
The 82-year-old American filmmaker, whose career spans more than six decades, has been accused of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, in 1992, when she was seven years old.
Farrow made the accusations against Allen public in 2014, but in the current Hollywood climate of speaking out against sexual assault and harassment, her account has recently gained traction.
Firth joins a growing list of Allen’s industry colleagues who have denounced him, such as Timothee Chalamet, Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page, Rebecca Hall, Mira Sorvino and Natalie Portman.
Allen has repeatedly denied the allegations. He said: “I never molested my daughter – as all investigations concluded a quarter of a century ago.”
