Increase Your Magnesium Intake
Even if eating a balanced diet, you could still have a slight magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including breaking down glucose into energy. Therefore when levels are even a little low, your energy levels can drop.
The recommended daily intake of magnesium is around 300 milligrams for women and 350 milligrams for men.
Ways to increase your intake:
* Add a handful of almonds, hazelnuts or cashews to your daily diet
* Increase your intake of whole grains, in particular bran cereal

Walk around the Block
Though it may seem as if moving around when you already feel exhausted isn’t a good idea, the opposite is in fact true. Experts say that increasing physical activity, in particular walking, increases energy.
Walking is accessible, easy to do, doesn’t required training or equipment, and you can do it anywhere. In experiments conducted, it showed that a brisk 10-minutes walk not only increased energy, but the effects lasted for up to two hours. Furthermore, when the daily 10-minute walks continued for three weeks, overall energy levels and mood were lifted.
Take a Power Nap
Information overload and pushing our brains too hard can drain energy. Studies conducted by the National Institute of Mental Health found that a 60-minute power nap could not only reverse the mind-numbing effects of information overload, but it may also help us to better retain information.
Don’t Skip Meals
The theory exists that if you eat soon after waking up, it supplies your body with a jolt of fuel, which sets the tone for the whole day. Studies show that people who eat breakfast report being in a better mood, and having more energy throughout the day.
Refrain from skipping any meals, as this could lead to an overall feeling of fatigue by the end of the day.
